  • Q. Can I drink Gatorade past the best before date on the bottle?

Gatorade is a shelf stable product, not a perishable product like milk or juice. Shelf stable beverages are safe to consume past the recommended use by date but may experience slight changes in flavor or color as the product ages. However, there's no change to the efficacy of the beverage. If the bottle appears sealed tightly and has no obvious visible off-color or odor when opened, there’s no reason why it cannot be consumed past the recommended usage date on the neck of each bottle.

  • Q. How long can I drink Gatorade after the bottle has been opened?

Refrigerate after opening and consumer within 3 days

  • Q. How does Gatorade powder mix differ from ready-to-drink?

Gatorade powder mix offers the same efficacy and performance benefits of Gatorade in a bottle. Where only water is available, Gatorade powder mix provides a convenient option to transform water into Gatorade. It's also a great option for multi-serve situations such as for teams on practice or game day.

  • Q. Any plans for a zero-calorie offering?

"We do not have plans to introduce a zero-calorie sports drink from Gatorade. A zero-calorie beverage provides zero energy to working muscles. Based on the recommendations from the European Food Safety Authority, a zero-calorie beverage doesn’t meet the criteria of a sports drink."
  • Q. How much sugar is in Gatorade?

Each 500ml serving of Gatorade contains 30g carbohydrate of which 20g is sugar. The carbohydrates in Gatorade provide energy to fuel working muscles to help you maintain oyur performance.
  • Q. How much salt is in Gatorade?

Each 500ml serving of Gatorade contains 0.65g salt. Electrolytes like sodium help to maintain hydration by replacing what is lost through sweat.
  • Q. Does Gatorade contain artificial sweeteners?

Gatorade RTD (ready to drink) contains the artificial sweeteners SUCRALOSE and ACESULFAME K (Ace K)
  • Q. Does Gatorade contain artificial colours?

Gatorade Cool Blue contains an artificial colour (Brilliant Blue) but the Orange and Tropical Burst variants do not.
  • Q. Does Gatorade contain preservatives?

    Gatorade does not contain preservatives
  • Q. What flavours are available?

Gatorade RTD (Ready to Drink) is available in Orange, Cool Blue (Raspberry) and Tropical Burst flavours. Gatorade powder is available in Orange and Lemon flavour.
  • Q. What are the product benefits?

Sports drinks provide a combination of carbohydrates, electrolytes and fluid which contribute to the maintenance of performance during prolonged exercise and enhance the absorption of water during physical exercise
  • Q. Is there caffeine in Gatorade?

    Gatorade does not contain caffeine.
  • Q. Do your bottles contain BPA?

Our plastic bottles do not contain BPA (Bisphenol A).  Our bottles are made from what's commonly known as PET (polyethylene terephthalate) #1 and are marked on the bottom of the bottle in the recycling symbol.
  • Q. Are your bottles recyclable?

Gatorade plastic containers are recyclable (PET #1 polyethylene terephthalate); plastic caps are recyclable and are made of polypropylene (# 5 type plastic).
  • Q. Can I reuse the plastic bottle?

Our bottles are made of a lightweight, recyclable plastic and are considered "disposable" packaging. We do not recommend reusing our bottles because they cannot be properly sterilized or washing in a hot water cycle of a dishwasher as the plastic may distort and/or shrink. We recommend washing or rinsing by hand if consumers choose to reuse bottles.
  • Q. Donations & Sponsorships?

"Thanks for reaching out to The Gatorade Company for support. We truly appreciate your interest in our company and products. Each year, Gatorade is presented with thousands of requests for product donations and event sponsorships from dedicated individuals, teams and organizations. And because of this volume, we hope you’ll understand we’re unable to fulfill all requests and are not accepting proposals at this time"
  • Q. Where can I buy Gatorade products?

Visit gatorade.co.uk/buy for the most update list of retailers
  • Q. Why are some products discontinued?

"There are many reasons why a product may be discontinued, but it's usually because sales expectations have not been met. Our store partners sometimes stop carrying slower-selling products to make room for new flavors or other products. When too many stores discontinue a product, it becomes difficult to continue producing it. We're sorry to disappoint you. "
